Teacher of the Year Award

On Friday morning there was a surprise in store for the Farwell High School Community, especially for one of the teachers! As students and staff all gather in the Jaime Performing Arts Center they were all eager to learn what this assembly was all about!

Tom Kunse, State Representative for The One Hundredth District took the stage along with Farwell Schools Superintendent, Steven Scoville, and called up Theresa Stansberry.

Representative Kunse then announced that Mrs. Stansberry had received The Teacher Of The Year award from The State of Michigan! Mrs. Stansberry consistently exceeds expectations in her efforts to nurture Farwell's students' enthusiasm for education and uphold high academic, moral, and ethic standards. She dedicates her personal time, both in-person and virtually, to provide additional support to students outside of regular schools hours. From tutoring and test preparation to mentoring, she offers comprehensive assistance to all Farwell students, while also inspiring and motivating other staff members to do the same. Through her commitment, Mrs. Stansberry fosters relationships that contribute significantly to the remarkable development of the children at Farwell.

After taking a moment for a picture with Representative Kunse and Mr. Scoville, Mrs. Stansberry's students took to the stage and gathered around their teacher to share in the exciting moment!
