Driving directions from Farwell to opposing high school gyms
(Minutes are bus travel time)                       

Conference schools:

Beaverton (30 minutes):
Take US-10 freeway east toward Midland.  Get off on exit M-18 (21 miles from Farwell).  Go north on M-18 for about 10 miles and you will see Beaverton HS on your left, Blades Road.  The HS is the first of school complexes you come to.

Clare (10 minutes):
Take old 10 to Clare, continue through stop light at corner of the Doherty Hotel until you come to Hemlock Street.  Turn left on Hemlock Street, go 3 blocks and this will take you to the Clare schools, HS is to the right.

Gladwin (40 minutes):
Take US-27 freeway north, get off at Harrison exit.  Turn left off exit ramp and go about ½ mile and head east on M-61 for about 12 miles and you will come into Gladwin.  Coming into Gladwin turn left on Erie Street and stay on until it dead ends onto First Street.  Turn left on First Street and go about 1 block and turn right (north) on Spring Street and school will be on right.

Harrison (25 minutes):
Take US-27 freeway north, get off at Harrison exit.  Take old 27 into Harrison, just before coming to first light turn left on Spruce street and go about 4 blocks.  You will see football field on left, turn left at stop sign and follow drive to HS.

Houghton Lake (60 minutes):
Take US-27 freeway north past Harrison and get off freeway on Snow Bowl exit.  Turn right (east) off ramp and go a few hundred feet and then turn left (north) on Old 27 Road.  Go about a half mile on Old 27 and turn right (east) on 400 Road for about 4 miles, then turn left (north) as 400 Road continues north into Houghton Lake.  At stop light intersection of M-55, turn left (west) and continue on M-55 for about 7 blocks and you will see a sign pointing left (south) for drive leading into HS.

Meridian (45 minutes):
Take US-10 freeway east toward Midland.  After you cross Sanford Lake (25 miles from Farwell) exit M-30 north.  Go north on M-30 for about 4 miles and you will see Meridian HS on your left.

Roscommon (80 minutes):
Take US-27 freeway north past Houghton Lake and get off freeway on Higgins Road exit.  Turn right (east) off ramp and follow this road about 10-12 miles until you come to Oakwood Drive (only goes right (south).  Follow signs to HS.

Beal City (30 minutes):
Exit Farwell on Vandicar road, which is the road going south at Farwell State Bank.  Stay on Vandicar for about 5 miles until you come to stop sign (Coleman Rd).  Turn right (west) on Coleman Rd and go for about 2 miles until you pass a party store/gas station, turn left (south) after passing gas station on Beal City Rd (Winn Rd).  Stay on this road until you come into Beal City.  Once in Beal City turn right on Elias Street and you will see Beal City HS on your right.

Bullock Creek (50 minutes):
Take US-10 freeway east to Midland.  Get off Midland exit (mall exit) and go south on Eastman for about 1.5 miles and Eastman will curve to the left and now street is called Buttles Street.  Continue on this street until you come to Poseyville road (stop light, car dealership corner), turn right onto Poseyville road and go over bridge, past Dow on your left.  Continue on Poseyville road about 3 miles until you come to Stewart Road.  Turn right on Stewart Road and go west about 2 miles and then turn left on Bandour Road to HS.

Marion (40 minutes):
Take M-115 north until you come to M-66.  Turn right (north) on M-66 for about 5 miles and you come into Marion.  Turn right at the light, in the middle of town, and go about 3/4 of a mile and school is on right (south side).

Breckenridge (70 minutes):
Take US 27 south past Mt Pleasant until you get to the St Louis exit, M-46 (34 Miles from Farwell).  This St Louis, M-46 exit only allows you to go east on M-46, continue on M-46 east through St Louis and then another 5 miles until your come to Breckenridge.  Once you come into Breckenridge you will cross RR tracks and immediately turn left on Wright Street (HS sigh on this corner).  Continue on Wright street (north) 3 blocks and you will see Breckenridge HS on your right.

Montabella (45 minutes):
Exit Farwell on Vandicar road, which is the road going south at Farwell State Bank.  Stay on Vandicar for about 5 miles until you come to stop sign (Coleman Rd).  Turn right (west) on Coleman Rd and go for about 2 miles until you pass a party store/gas station, turn left (south) after passing gas station on Beal City Rd (Winn Rd).  Stay on this road go through Beal City until you hit M-20.  Turn right (west) on M-20 and go about 5 miles until you see Rolland Road.  Turm left (south) on Rolland a number of miles, continue through stop sign at Blanchard Rd, until you sweep through two curves in road.  After second curve you will come to Isabella County Line Rd, turn right (west) and high school will be on your left.

Evart (30 minutes):
Take Old 10 west from Farwell right into Evart (18 miles from Farwell).  Once in Evart go through Main Street light and turn right on 95th Ave. by ???? and this street will take you right by Evart HS.

Reed City (45 minutes):
Take Old 10 west from Farwell through Evart.  About 5 miles beyond Evart as you start to come into Reed City area you will see older restaurant on your left (south).  Just beyond this you will turn off Old 10, left, on to Church Ave, which will run right into downtown Reed City.  As you come into business district you cross main street (Chestnut) and continue on for two more blocks and you will see high school on left (south).

Lake City (70 minutes):
Take M-115 west from Farwell about 17 miles until you come to a flashing light which is M-66.  Turn right (north) and go through Marion, M-66 will curve left once past Marion and take you into McBain.  In McBain you will turn right (north) staying on M-66 and this will take you into Lake City.  When you come into downtown Lake City turn right at intersection with McDonalds and gas station and go about 2 blocks east and you will see school to your right of about a block.

Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart (30 minutes):
Take US-27 south and get off at Mt Pleasant exit.  Now on Mission Street continue south until you come to Broadway (stop light).  Turn right on Broadway for 5 blocks, then turn left (south) on South Franklin and you will see HS.

Pine River (70 minutes):
Take M-115 west from Farwell about 25 miles until you come to a Snowmobile business (Highland) with flashing light.  Turn left at this flashing light,  20 Mile Road, and continue into Tustin.  Go through Tustin going over freeway, and turn left on 200 Ave (high school sign).  Stay on this road, about 5 miles, until you see Pine River HS on your right.

Vestaburg (60 minutes):
Take US-27 south past Mt Pleasant until you get to the Alma exit, M-46 (34 Miles from Farwell). This Alma, M-46 exit only allows you to go west on M-46, continue on M-46 west until you come to Crystal Road.  Turn left and this will take you into Vestaburg.  Once in Vestaburg turn right (west) on 5th Street and this will take you to HS.

Coleman (30 minutes):
Take US-10 freeway east toward Midland.  Get off on Coleman exit (15 miles from Farwell).  Go south through Coleman until road ends on Main St, turn left (east) and continue through lights and out of town a few miles until you come to N. Lewis Road (HS sign on corner).  Turn left on N. Lewis Road and continue about 1 mile and HS will be on your left.

Wittemore-Prescott (110 minutes):
Travel north to Harrison and go east on M-61 towards Gladwin.  Continue through Gladwin on M-61 into Standish and turn left at stop light (north) on US-23.  Stay on US-23 for 9 miles, through Omer, to M-65.  Turn left at stop light on M-65 and travel 13 miles.  Just before coming into Wittemore turn left on Prescott or School street.  Go 4 miles and you will see school system on your right.  High school is third building.
