Farwell Elementary School recently participated in an outreach program called Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan’s Purse. The project provides a shoebox full of Christmas gifts to needy children all over the world. Last year over 7.4 million boxes were distributed. |
|
Third graders collected items and packed a total of 112 boxes. The elementary school also had a coin drive to raise the money needed for shipping each box. They raised over $595 as a contribution to this project. The students included letters and maps with hopes of a return letter. Way to go Farwell Elementary School! |

Farwell Elementary Students competed in the 2007 Michigan 4-H Children's Art Exchange. Two students’ artwork has been chosen to be sent to China. Their art will travel the country so that the Chinese children will see and enjoy artwork from the USA. The First picture is Cheyenne’s “Northern Lights” and the second picture is Austen’s “The Robins.” |
