Farwell Elementary School student, Grace Saupe, received a nice surprise last week. She received a thank you letter from a child in Kenya, Africa. Grace and the students from Farwell participated in the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Project through Samaritan’s Purse last November. The boxes were filled with school supplies and small toys as a gift for Christmas to less fortunate children all over the world. There are over one million boxes delivered each year by Samaritan’s Purse. This is the largest children’s outreach program of its kind in the world. Farwell Elementary School has been a part of this project for the last 9 years and has received responses from children in Zambia, Togo, Egypt, Ukraine, and now Kenya. Thank you to all who supported this project at “The Caring School.”
